Thursday night the Lady Tigers hosted the Ogemaw Falcons.  The Tigers were coming off of a tough night Tuesday when they swam at John Glenn.  They were determined to get back to the strong performances they were showing up with this year, and they did just that.  There were a lot of great close races to watch, and many of the Tigers  finished the night with new PR’s.  Although the night finished in a loss, the Tigers can walk away proud with the swims they put up.   Great win tonight for the Lady Tigers  over the Alma Panthers.  Going into the meet we knew there were going to be some close races and after the first event Caro was down by 6 points.  The ladies were determined not to give in though.  The 200 Free was next and brought great swims with huge PR’s from Cheyanne Wicks and Claire Warren.  The big surprise of the night was from Madelynn LaPratt, this was her first time swimming the 200 free and she pushed hard, came back from behind and finished 3rd.   Tuesday the Lady Tigers traveled north to swim against the Alpena WildCats.  This is the first year back to the Independent Swim Conference for the Wildcats, and the Tigers were ready for the competition.  The Tigers started off strong finishing first in the 200 Medley Relay.  They followed that lead finishing first in every other event except the 100 Breaststroke.  Alpena is a new young team,  they have a lot of opportunities to build and grow their potential.   The Lady Tigers started the 2023 Swim season by hosting the Garber Dukes Tuesday night.
