The CARO Tigers were visiting the Harbor Beach Headquarters today for their second confrontation in the season.

First half started with great enthusiasm from the visitors as they controlled the game especially at the center midfield location to feed the forward players. Fair enough, a breakaway allowed Captain and Junior Olivia Walker to deliver an amazing pass to right forward Junior Lexie Johnson who dribbled past 2 Harbor Beach defenders to surprise their goal keeper with a shot at the top of the net. The Tigers were on the score board after 20 minutes of play. The celebration was short lived as the hosts pressed the Caro defensive to make a crucial mistake and allow them to equalize before the end of the half. This goal hurt since the visitors worked hard to take the lead and contain their opponents. Two clear chances were missed by Senior and Captain Katie Scharrer who could not put the ball in the net. Two other golden chances came from Junior Johnson who saw her shots go out but so close.

Coach's instructions were focused at the defensive zone where the opponent were allowed to shoot without any pressure.

The Harbor Beach team started with intensity as they were determined to win this game after they lost the first one in Caro. A talented forward player from the hosting team took an opportunity to take a shot from far which beat the Caro goal keeper to take the lead for the first time between these two teams. That goal gave wings to the hosts but the Tigers decided to fight back to control and dominate the last 15 minutes of the second half with more passing and combinations. A free kick from Junior Walker was saved despite the smart placement of the ball at the left top corner and wasn't enough to pull a tie from this game.

The MVP trophy was presented to Sophomore and Sweeper Kassie Clish who played an amazing game by stopping several key breakaways and shots.

Next away game is tomorrow Tuesday May 11 visiting Garber at 5:30 pm.
