On a much more comfortable nice weather, the Caro Tigers were hosting a very talented division 1 team from Davison. The Caro team still with 2 injured players was not able to level up to the visiting skilled team who had their players using triangular passes, dynamic movement and positioning and supporting the ball carrier at all time. It was basically a one sided game with complete domination by the visitors. The opponents were first to the ball and dominated the whole real estate on the soccer field. Despite some 7 key saves made the Tigers goalie and Captain Coby Fetting, seven (7) goals were scored leaving him unattended with no support and no pressure on the players taking the shots at him. The Caro players need to go back the drawing board and learn a lot from this skilled team who made it look so easy to play a simple soccer game.

Second half lasted with only 25 minutes left to the game to have the visitors score the 8th goal to merci the hosts. 

The second half was a much better performance with more effort and conviction by the Caro team since it took 15 minutes for the visitors to score a goal unlike the first half.

Some times we have to admit that the opponents played a much higher level of soccer close to the European style from the Barcelona team which is representative of their position in Division 1. Having said that, the coach is convinced that this young Caro team will develop through the season and in the coming years, and this kind of exposure to great teams like Davison is a great learning experience for the Tigers players.

The MVP trophy was presented to freshman Ethan Fellows who consistently performed with great effort giving it his best effort throughout the whole game to help out his teammates. His marking and tackles and great defending made him deserve this award.

Next game is on Monday August 26 traveling to Memphis with the bus leaving from the high school at 3:10 pm and the game starting in Memphis at 5:30 pm.
