This last game of the season (non Conference) featuring the hosting team from Caro and the visitors from Birch Run started with an even fight from both sides but with the advantage to the Birch Run controlling the game better than the Tigers. Again, poor marking and committing too much to the opponent's move, the Caro defender could not stop the skilled Birch Run player to blast a ball past the Tigers goalie for the first goal. Pretty much, the rest of the first half was focused more on winning the midfield real estate which limited the damage to only one goal at break. The hosts just could not find the way to break the much skilled defensive crew on the opposing side. Half time speeches were not enough to contain the "hungry" talented Birch Run players who dominated most of the second half with only a few breakaways from the Caro team. Three goals were scored and two players (one from each team) were sent out with a red card to both miss the first district game next week. The game MVP award was presented to stopper and forward Sophomore Aaron Pierce for his 150% effort he gave on the field and excelled in every position the coaches put him in. Next game is the District game at home on Monday October 15 in Caro hosting the USA team at 4:30 pm.
