This second game was hosted by Capac and the Caro Tigers were ready to forget their first game. The game started with some ball possession by the hosting team but Caro created multiple chances including 3 clear scoring chances by striker Manau Patel who kept putting pressure on both their defenders and midfielders. The coaches warned their players that the effort, discipline and control must the 3 ingredients in managing this game. A mishap from miscommunication between goaltender and his defenders gave a gift to the opponents who easily scored and took the lead in first half. After an intense half speech by the coaches, the visitors seemed to understand the message but still lacking in the ball control and possession aspects. With 10 minutes left to the game and Caro still trailing 0-1, the coaching staff decided to make the switch between Chris Walker the striker and Trevin Phillips the sweeper. Trevin took matters in hands and received a golden pass from the defender which he converted into a beautiful goal to even the score. Now the hosts felt the pressure to win this game but could not stop the motivation the Caro Tigers gained after the tie. It took only a few minutes until Trevin (again) made some faking moves who sent two defenders out of his way to smartly place the ball to the left corner past the Capac goalie for a win. The clock was against the hosts as the visitors had to contain them and control the game until the last whistle was blown by one of the referees. The MVP award was obviously handed to Trevin Phillips who scored two goals and gave his teammates their first win of the season. This award could have gone to Manau Patel who played an amazing game until Trevin scored the two goals. Next game is at home in Caro hosting the visiting team from Memphis at 5:00 pm!
