On a muggy and humid hot weather, the visitors from Memphis didn't know what to expect from the hosting Caro Tigers soccer team. The Tigers were determined to give a show in front of their crowd and started pretty well by offering a passing and controlling game. With 10 minutes left to the half, the hosts were able to solve the mystery of the visitors' defense by having Captain Trevin Phillips score another beautiful goal to give his team the 1-0 lead. The joy was short lived as the Memphis team took advantage of the lack of marking by the hosts and retrieved a saved ball to even the score. After another intense half time speech, the hosting team is ready to put up the effort, be careful with discipline and control the game. Speaking of the effort, Captain Trevin Phillips again rushed to a challenging match up with their defender to win the ball and blast it in the net past their goaltender. Now the hosts gained confidence with this 2-1 lead and kept playing a passing game and trying to control some plays throughout the field. With 8 minutes left to the game, a corner kick was shot by stopper Ty Inches, curved it enough to trick the Memphis goal keeper and their whole defense who can only witness the ball going directly in the net. With this 3-1 lead, the visitors basically gave up the fight and the whistle was blown to end this amazing game the Caro Tigers played. Unlike what you would expect and not to take away what Trevin accomplished, the MVP trophy went to Manav Patel who worked with intensity from start to finish to keep his teammates in the game and give trouble to the visitors. Next game is at Oscoda at 5 pm.
