Under the threatening weather forecast, the game was on hosting the team from Bad Axe.

First half was an even match on both sides as the first half ended with a scoreless sheet 0-0. Thanks to a great defensive crew and an amazing goal tender, the visitors from Bad Axe were frustrated not to score a single goal in the first half. The speech from the coaching staff consisted of great comments and encouragements but reminded the girls that the soccer game is a very competitive one and they need to elevate their game to the next level.

Unfortunately, the second half was not like the first as the visitors started to play rough and showing some aggressive plays trying to hurt some Caro players. The lack of marking in the box cost the hosting team a goal. Then, a blocked shot by a Caro defender deflected towards to the goal tender which surprised her and was not able to save it. Just to add to the agony, a rebound and lost ball found a Bad Axe forward player who easily shot it at close proximity for the third and last goal of the game. The Caro tried really hard to contain this talented team from Bad Axe but in vain.

The game MVP tropy was awarded to Senior and left defender Olivia Montgomery who played a strong defensive game by marking closely her opponents, winning the ball and blocking many shots to protect her goalie Talena Pifer who had 27 saves!

Next game is away at Harbour Beach this coming Wednesday May 1st at 5:30 pm.
