The CARO Tigers were visiting Bad Axe for their second meet and the visitors were hoping to deliver a better performance than the first game.

First half started with mistakes in the defensive zone to allow 2 quick goals for the hosts. Then, the CARO team seemed to fight back and hold the opponents to this score. However, it was just a matter of time for the skilled players from Bad Axe to show some technique with two amazing shots that the CARO goal keeper couldn't save after being surprised. Three breakaways from CARO were not enough to be on the score board. Junior and Captain left winger Faith MacDonald came the closest to score after a nice shot which went outside not far from the right post. Bad Axe added a fifth goal as a result of scrambling in the defensive and failing to clear the area which allowed the hosting team to score right before the end of the first half.

The coach recognized the talents of the opponents and told his girls to keep working hard and learn from them. He also mentioned that CARO is a good team but we have to work on those basic skills especially not committing to ball carrier and make the step forward whenever necessary. Not to mention the tight marking that the visitors lack to prevent the opponents to receive a pass and make their technical moves.

The second half never started and never happened since the officials decided to end it after seeing some lightnings in the air and was about to be delayed by 30 minutes regardless.

No MVP was identified during this game. CARO is now 5-2-1 for the season! The best record so far in years!!

Next game is away visiting Harbor Beach this coming Monday May 10 at 5:30 pm.
